5 months ago, I was desperately searching the internet, looking for a way to
lose the 30 pounds I had gained from being on Zoloft for 3 + years.
I read message
board after message board, of people who sounded just like me. Skinny
their whole life, ate healthy (I have been eating whole grain, no white flower,
etc., for over 10 years, and working out on a regular basis). The weight
kept coming on, even though I did not change one thing.
Over the past year and
a half, I had tried to wean several times, but the anxiety and OCD, would come
back as I cut the dose, and I did not feel good, so I would abandon my attempt
at tapering.
This past year, I could not stop obsessing about how much weight I had gained. I
could not stand the sight of myself in the mirror. I was torturing everyone
around with me with all of my complaining. I stumbled on
The Road Back.org in my search for a
miracle. As soon as I started reading the site, I knew I had found it. The
program made sense, and the testimonials seemed so heartfelt and real. It was a
way to wean off the Zoloft without experiencing severe side effects. Something
in my gut told me to try it.
I immediately ordered the book, and called my psychiatrist. I brought the book
with me when I went to see her. She agreed. It was the right time to try it.
She was also blown away by the program. She ordered the book for her
practice, and gave me her blessing.
I ordered the pre-taper supplement package, started the supplements, and
followed the program. I DID NOT HAVE ONE SIDE EFFECT during my taper. I felt
perfect the whole time. It is amazing!!!!
I have now been off the Zoloft for about 6 weeks, and I still feel good. If I
feel any anxiety pop up (it has been very minor), I increase the body calm, and
it goes away. The program, especially the Body Calm which helps me sleep,
has changed my life. I have decided to continue with the supplements for a
while, and will probably take the Body Calm forever.
Three pounds have come off, and I am moving onto their program for losing weight
after antidepressants.
I am so grateful for this program.
